If you need some Schadenfreude to take your mind off the Cubs loss, may I offer the following press release that the Pirates were forced to issue:

In other words, key relievers Felipe Vazquez and Kyle Crick got into a physical fight, during which Crick injured his hand badly enough to require surgery.
The way Crick described it (Pirates.com): “It was one of those clubhouse altercations. A lot of bickering back and forth. Punches were thrown,” said Crick, who claimed that Vazquez threw the first punch. “At some point [you have to] stand up for yourself and start throwing them back. It’s one of those deals where it’s unfortunate. There are two losers in this deal; nobody can win a fight with a teammate.”
Note that this is not the first clubhouse problem that has risen to the point of fighting and subsequent consequences, and it’s not the first time there have been issues with Vazquez and Crick.
I’m thinking Clint Hurdle is not long for that manager’s chair.
