I wondered openly if this was coming today after last night’s five HBPs and the war of words between the starting pitchers. Sure enough, the Mets and Cardinals got into it again today.
The ignition point was a (probably?) inadvertent HBP that took JD Davis out of the game:

The next half inning, the Mets pretty clearly threw at Nolan Arenado, and did so in the danger zone high and tight. That means benches clear:

Nolan Arenado and Cardinals coach Stubby Clapp were ejected, Arenado for escalating things (ignoring the ump who was trying to stay in front of him and then throwing the catcher 10 feet aside):
